Sidequests are exactly what their name implies; these are optional quests that have no bearing on the plot.
Unlike normal quests and events, sidequests typically have no deadline; they can be completed whenever you’d like. Some sidequests may have deadlines though, such as ones that are seasonal. Most, however, will not have deadlines.
As a consequence of having no deadlines, rewards tend to be lesser than normal quests. For instance, stat rewards for sidequests will always be for a specific stat rather than you getting to choose where to put it; +1 str, +1 def, etc. Item rewards also tend to be “weaker”.
In addition, doing these quests will earn you individual points that you can later spend on the item shop (TBA).
Members can also contribute to this, creating their own sidequests. Sidequests can be submitted via a note to the group, as long as they follow the original format presented below (icon thumbnail/guidelines/conditions/reward/...).
Submitting a quest will earn you a small bonus when approved; however, you will also be responsible for designing the reward items (if that's the case) for your quest.
Submissions for sidequests should be sent to the new "Sidequests" folder in the gallery. Be sure to include the name of the sidequest your submission is for so there is no confusion.
Recruitable NPCs
Recruitable NPCs, RNPCs, have special sidequests that allow you to recruit them. RNPCs, if recruited, have special effects as their rewards. Rewards here will be better but tasks will also be more difficult.
Some examples of rewards are things like: extending a deadline (or still getting the same points or rewards for submitting late), doubling the points for everyday life submissions, etc. These only apply to the individual, though.
Of course, some conditions are also set like if the RNPC is in Khivann, you can't use the reward/bonus if the quest you're working for is in Beluge. As RNPCs are released, their functions and limitations will be explained.
RNPCs have limited usage. You can only use them X number of times before losing them.
